Look. This is the bloated, floating corpse of a dead community. It was a good ride while it lasted, and when I come back on occasion to look at things and see someone shooting their mouth off at random anons for a quick laugh, it kinda hurts the memory. Besides, your actions are in violation of the local community guidelines, and depending on your jurisdiction, the law... but no more are there any arbiters to uphold these edicts. The admins haven't logged on in ages. That doesn't mean I'm not gonna try to politely stop people breaking the rules, though.
I care about this game and this community. Yeah, it's dead, but c'mon, what excuse does that give you to attack the few people who still hang around? That's just bad etiquette anywhere.
And please, these people are stupid? Then you haven't seen stupid. Go work a L1 I.T. Helpdesk Hell job, then tell me these people are stupid. There is no stupidity that rivals the people who will cuss you out on the phone for ten minutes for "being bad at your job" because they lied and said they made sure things were plugged in when they weren't.
Also keep in mind that plenty of people around damn near any site are kids. I don't necessarily expect a 10-year-old to escape to the surface with the Amulet on their 35th run, nor do I expect the starry-eyed 11-year-old trying to get into programming by taking a thing they love and moving it closer to their vision to be able to immediately find the source code for a dead project.
Still, there's plenty of inexperience. If you have a problem with that, then take a proactive stance and try to share some knowledge with people that might help them escape that instead of insulting them. That's the point of a wiki to begin with -- sharing knowledge.
And yeah, the game can mean a lot to people. Maybe they're in a rough strait and don't find joy in much else. Or hell, maybe they just have a casual interest and it's one of the first communities they've felt at home in (or would have, given the chance). That's the point of a community forum like this, and the stated mission of Wikia (well, ok, was. Now it's mostly bad clickbait).
So, can you maybe understand why I might be frustrated when somebody hiding behind an anonymous guise decides to spit in the face of those ideals? You could be doing real harm -- if anyone in these situation are down on hard times, then what you say might be the difference between them giving up entirely or persevering. That can apply to more things than you first realize, too: maybe it's just trying to finish a run, or maybe it's a grand goal for their future, or maybe their very life.
With that in mind, please try to be more considerate of others from now on. Maybe make an account so we can tell you apart, too. If you still have no desire to do that, then I ask that you leave. You obviously don't have to pay any heed to that request, and it's unlikely you're going to be reprimanded in any way regardless. But I do sincerely hope that I've made you reconsider your attitude around here.
