1. If you get an enchantment scroll, enchant the weapon, not the armor, because if you enchant the armor you might end up getting a really dangerous glyph like multiplicity or affection.
The weapon is also more useful than the armor. But if you want a "good" glyph on your armor, just get some Scrolls of Enchantment and use them until you get a "good" glyph.
2. For Goo, if you fight him in the corridor you won't have as much space to get away from his pumped up attack, and you have no room. I'd still recommend fighting in the room if you haven't got high level armor.
You can always get away from Goo's "pumped up" attack except when your in a corner. It doesn't really matter whether your in a corridor or not. It is best to fight him while the Hero/ine is standing in water while Goo is not.
3. If you put on a cursed low grade armor or low grade ring don't waste a scroll of upgrade on it, use a scroll of remove curse because it's a big waste of an Upgrade scroll.
It's not a big waste of a Scroll of Upgrade if the upgradable item is -1 and you want to use it.
4. Overpriced food rations are a waste
They are a waste of gold, but if you are really desperate, then in order to survive, you must buy them. I only buy them if I have the Ring of Haggler and extra gold.
5. Key rings are a waste of gold
You don't buy Key Rings. You start off with them. Unless Watabou changed it, and I'm not aware of it. Have you actually seen it in the Shop?
6. Don't throw unidentified potions in an enclosed room (I died on my best run by throwing a toxic gas potion in a room with only 1 door and a skeleton was blocking the door)
Yes, if it is a Potion of Toxic Gas or a Potion of Paralytic Gas, it will last longer in enclosed spaces than when in an open area. In a 1 by 1 area, it will last for 1,000 turns. It is very rare to have a 1 by 1 area to spawn. The 1 by 1 area wouldn't be a room, but a hallway with two or more doors.
