All characters have a health which is equal to its maximum health when spawned. For enemies, the max health is constant for any one type of enemy. The Hero/ine's max health changes depending on what level the Hero/ine is.

The Hero/ine will gain 1 extra health every 10 turns (without the Ring of Mending).
