Hi, I saw that you replaced a jpeg image of SPS-PD with a png, thank you for that, but have in mind that I am in the process of replacing all of them, and while my versions will be definitely worse than yours, they might already exist in another page, and as far as I know, improving the quality of an already existing png file is easier than changing a jpeg to png. I am writing all that to save you from unnecessary volunteer work, so if I were you, I would wait for December in order to edit any existing SPS-PD image file.
I know that deleting the already replaced jpegs would be a simpler solution to avoid unncessary work in the edits, but I am trying not to create a headache to Evan with barrages of messages and I will give him a single list to delete when I have finished with SPS-PD. Have a nice week.
I know, before I marked the pictures for deletion I made sure all instances were already unused (The "about" section of a file did not show any "appears on those pages" links). Those related to SPS-PD you might've seen me sending to Evan earlier today were all queued for quite a while; 2 of the files I replaced ~last month were already gone by the looks of it, so I didn't mention them. And as you say, whenever there's a .png I will just send a newer version, but as .jpgs are treated separately, I add a new .png file with the same name and change the reference image in each article that uses it before I ask for removal.
I am afraid I am not making myself clear, or I did not understand your answer. I am not worried that you will replace a file also used elsewhere, but that you will do unnecessary work, editing an image that is already replaced with a png elsewhere but it is not yet replaced in the current page. If that's what you meant in the first place, just ignore this paragraph.
About the pictures missing, yeah, the WIP state of the SPS-PD section will have some temporary casualties, but editing one page at a time is good for my mental health, and SPS-PD has done fine for 4 months without its section having been updated, it will do equally fine with some pictures missing for a week or two.
So, the attack of mostly me but also of Omicron to the wiki pages has been more or less completed. I have proof-read all my added artices and most importantly the mods' table is updated with links, images, details. authors etc. If you feel like editing, I have updated my profile with all the articles that were part of my attack to the wiki, which is a more concise overview than the wiki's history. Btw, how can I flag an image for deletion? Omicron was forgetful and uploaded new versions rather than replacing some images. Have a nice week!
OOOOHHHHhhh these dang DDoS-ers finally left our wikia alone! :v
Quite an impressive resume you've got there, if I do say so myself; with this amount of edits you totally should've gone for the ring of haste badge btw. Congrats on actually finishing such a grueling task. I hope I'll be able to further aid with my help on keeping at least some of those updated & in overall great shape. Nowhere near the speed you worked at though, lol.
I don't think there's a way to flag an image from the user's view, you'd have to pester an admin with the links to pictures you want deleted. I've already got a list of things I need to get removed myself, too.
A ok, you had mentioned "flagging" an image in a previous message and I thought it was a function of the wiki I did not know. Btw it would be fun if we had customized names for the badges in the wiki and not only customized images.
About the images, you have done most of the recent visual editing, so I am sure that the things you want to get removed will include at least most of my picks also and I will leave that to you.
Do take your time, my previous message intended mostly to spare you from the headache of scrolling down the wiki's history trying to find yet another mod that speedy kostis had written or edited. Most of the articles can be improved for sure, but they are comprehensible and without many typos already.
Hi, in the bottom of the Quirks page there is a ""Citte errror: <reef> taags exiist, buut noo <refferences> ttag waas ffound" (I didn't have a stroke, copy pasting it in my previous message made most of my message a footnote). I tried to delete it, but it was not showing in the visual editor and I thought that I should better avoid the source editor, in case it is connected with a part of the page's functionality. Just letting you know :-)
Welcome to the wiki! I did no tremove your jokes because they were lame, as a matter of fact I liked them, but because they are not encouraged in the wiki, articles must have a quasi-objective style. Kostis12345
Oh I know, that's perfectly understandable - in fact, I still think the page may feel a bit too informal for the wikia style, I was just making a funny remark on that - simply because I originally didn't make the posts with wikia in mind. So I'm not mad about it at all, aaand I was going to go about editing and updating it soon, too.
