Sprouted Pixel Dungeon features several unique items or new uses or features for existing ones.
Containers make managing the inventory much easier for the hero. Unlike the containers in Original PD, some of them are found, but some are still purchased. Of the ones that are purchased, the hero can actually control which ones he/she gets first, second and third from shops. When he/she first descends to a shop depth, whichever item type he/she has the most of, will determine which type of container will spawn in the shop. For example a hero without any container apart from the Seed Pouch and with 1 wand, 2 potions and 3 scrolls in the backpack will find a Scroll Holder in the shop. So right before the hero descends to depths 6, 11 and 16 players should think which type of container they prefer for him/her at the specific point of the run, and have him/her drop all or almost all the non related items. Players should have also in mind that all items stored in the container will count as being of its type, so a hero with 4 scrolls, 1 potion and 4 mushrooms, will find a Potion Bandolier and not a Scroll Holder in the shop. The same applies for bombs and Mr. Destructos for the Scroll Holder.

The Chain can spawn randomly in any garden room. Lucky heroes may find it somewhere in the Sewers. Unlucky heroes might not find it until they get to the Book of the Living depth, after defeating Yog-Dzewa. One always spawns in each run though, so if a hero hasn't found it even in the Book of the Living, he/she should get back to the regular dungeon and map all unmapped depths, in order to find the hidden garden in which the chain had spawned. This container does not exist either in Original PD or Shattered PD.
It holds Ankhs, as well as all rings, including Adamantite rings and the Ring of Disintegration. It does not hold the Ring of Frost, which is stored in the main inventory - backpack. It is the one of the two containers that it is most probable not to have space for all the hero's related items, if he/she visits the Book of the Living depth without leaving some of the rings and Ankhs that he/she had already collected behind in the regular dugeon, as Ankhs don't stack and the Ankhs found on this depth can almost fill the Chain by themselves.
Key Ring Edit

Holds all iron, golden, portal and skeleton keys. Like Original PD and most mods, it is a starting item for all classes. It can carry up to 20 different key items, which is always enough. There are two more types of keys in Sprouted, apart from Iron keys, Golden keys and Skeleton keys: Portal Keys in various colors and with different names that teleport the hero to a specific Key or Boss depth, and Golden Skeleton Keys that open any still unopened gold-green Crystal or gold-brown Locked chest in the dungeon (but almost always they are used for the other Crystal chest that was left unopened, as Crystar chests always spawn in couples, with only one Golden key generating on the depth).

These are dropped exclusively by the 4 Hermit Crab minions of the Crab King, so only 4 of these keys can spawn in each run, they are always enough for the crystal or locked chests that were left unopened though.

Seed Pouch Edit
|This small velvet pouch allows you to store any number of seeds in it. Very convenient.|
Apart from seeds it also holds most of the items produced from high grass that were added to Sprouted: nuts, berries and the grain of magic rice. One always spawns on depth 1, unlike Original PD and Shattered PD, in which it is sold at shops. It can carry up to 24 different items, which is always enough.
Potion Bandolier Edit
| This thick bandolier fist around your chest like a sash. It has many small vials to hold your potions.
The vials are made out of tempered glass, and should be quite resistant to the cold. There's also a big jar attached for holding mushrooms. Very nice!
It is one of the containers that are bought from shops, and will spawn in one of the first three shops (see the first paragraph on how to control the spawning of this container). It holds all potions and also mushrooms, and protects potion bottles from getting destroyed, when the hero becomes frozen. It is not a bad idea for the hero to have this before visiting any of the Key depths with lots of high grass, like the Ancient Sewers or the Ancient Prison, as the main inventory - backpack might not have enough space for all the different types of mushrooms that will most probably get generated there. It can carry up to 20 different items, which is always enough. This container does not exist in Original PD, but it exists in Shattered PD and in most other mods.
Scroll Holder Edit
| This tubular container looks like it would hold an astronomer's charts, but your scrolls will fit in just as well.
The holder doesn't look very flammable, so your scrolls should be safe from the fire inside it. There is a handy little compartment for your bombs and other explosives, too. Nice!
It is one of the containers that are bought from shops, and will spawn in one of the first three shops (see the first paragraph on how to control the spawning of this container). It protects scrolls from getting destroyed by fire. In addition, It also holds all types of bombs (excluding Dumpling Bombs), Mr. Destructos and the Orb of Zot. It can carry up to 20 different items, which is always enough, unless the hero is a Rogue and has crafted all the available to his class different types of bombs.
Wand Holster Edit
| This slim holster is made from some exotic animal, and is designed to compactly carry up to 12 wands.
The size seems a bit excessive, who would ever have that many wands?
It is one of the containers that are bought from shops, and will spawn in one of the first three shops (see the first paragraph on how to control the spawning of this container). The Wand Holster holds the hero's wands, like in Original PD, but does not hold thrown weapons, like it does in Shattered PD, nor gives any bonus to the recharging speed of wands. It can carry up to 12 wands (unlike all the other containers, same wands won't stack, even if they are of the same type and level). It is the one of the two containers that it is probable not to have space for all the hero's related items, if he/she grinds the Thief King's basement or the Book of Heavens depth.
It's obtained by buying it from the Shop on depth 6 for 3000 gold. For details about its function and the unique items and depths it gives access to, follow the link just above. The Journal and almost all of the items related to it (the sole exception being the Ring of Wealth) exist only in Sprouted and its mods.
- Safe Room: It's dropped by a random Gnoll Archer on the Ancient Forest key depth (most often at some point between the 20th and the 50th killed).
- Sokoban 1: It's dropped by Goo. Basically, it's a sokoban tutorial. Upon completing the puzzle on the first try, the unique item Towel is found at the end of the puzzle.
- Sokoban 2: It's dropped by Tengu. Upon completing the puzzle on the first try, the unique item Spectacles is generated after all the keys have first been generated by the Item Creation switches.
- Sokoban 3: It's dropped by DM-300. Upon completing the puzzle on the first try, the unique item Auto Potion is generated after all the keys have first been generated by the Item Creation switches.
- Sokoban 4: It's dropped by the Dwarf King. Upon completing the puzzle on the first try, the unique item Whistle is generated after all the keys have first been generated by the Item Creation switches.
- Dolyahaven: Breaking the Orb of Zot that is dropped by the last Shadow Yog will drop in its turn the page to the village of Dolyahaven, which is the starting point for the end-game stage of Sprouted and contains the entrance to the 6 depths of the Dolyahaven Mines and eventually to the Stone Golem Otiluke depth.
- Dragon Cave: Burning bookcases with the Spectacles equipped will eventually make its Journal page spawn among the embers. Upon the first visit, a unique Shadow Dragon Egg will be found. Important: visiting this depth may trigger some end-game bugs.
- Vault: Burning bookcases with the Spectacles equipped will eventually make its Journal page spawn among the embers. Upon the first visit, a treasure chest containing a Ring of Wealth will be found, among many other chest that contain gold. Important: visiting this depth may trigger some end-game bugs.
Towel (Sokoban 1) Edit
It removes the Bleeding debuff from the hero or his/her pet and also the heavy Bleeding debuff caused by the Kupua and Gullin gas in the Doolyahaven Mines. Although there are many alternative ways for the hero to cure this debuff (Potions of Healing, Life and Mending, stepping on a Dreamfoil plant), the Towel is the most cost-efficient as it is reusable, needs only one turn to get applied, and also helps the hero keep more potions and seeds in the inventory.
Spectacles (Sokoban 2) Edit
- Spectacles can make the Dragon Cave and Vault pages for Otiluke's Journal appear in the embers of burnt Bookshelves. When the hero examines a bookshelf with them equipped, if the bookshelves will not drop a page, the default "The rows of books of different disciplines fill the bookshelf" message appears, but if the bookshelves will drop a page the "This is probably the vestige of a [stage name] library. Might it burn?" message appears.
- They make the Otiluke's Journal charge in the double speed.
- They allow the successful use of Scrolls of Magic Mapping and Blue Berries in all Otiluke's Journal depths and in the Zot depth. Without the Spectacles equipped, the mapping of the depths will get blocked.
- They also allow the use of potions of Mind Vision on the Stone Golem Otiluke and Zot depths.
Auto Potion (Sokoban 3) Edit
Automatically uses a Potion of Healing when health is low, but only when it is equipped.
Whistle (Sokoban 4) Edit
When blown, it immediately summons the pet to the hero's side. Using this, the hero can summon a pet from a different dungeon depth or a Journal depth, but not from Book depths, Boss depths or Key depths that the pet was left behind (in other non-wiki webpages the Whistle is described as more powerful, but in the current version of Sprouted it works only for the aforementioned depths). If the hero blows the whistle without any pet, nothing happens.

Ring of Wealth (Vault) Edit
In Sprouted PD only two Rings of Wealth can spawn in each run, and one of them will spawn in the Vault depth (the other has a 4% chance to drop from a Red Wraith). Like Shattered PD and almost all of its mods, it affects positively the drop chance of loot from enemies and the spawning of rare items during depth generation, but has also the unique characteristic of multiplying the amount of available Scrolls of Upgrade and Magical Infusion in Sprouted, as (Black) Wraiths drop these as loot. Visit this link for details about the ring. Important: obtaining this specific Ring of Wealth (not the Ring of Wealth from Red Wraiths, the ring from the Vault) may trigger some end-game bugs.
Other items Edit
[With the exceptions of the Ankh, Pickaxe, and Dark Gold Ore, all the other items in this section are exclusive to Sprouted and its mods. Unless there is a specific container mentioned, the item will be stored in the main inventory - backpack]
|This ancient symbol of immortality grants the ability to return to life after death. The Ankh has been imbued and is now much stronger. The Ankh will sacrifice itself to save you in a moment of deadly peril.|
Unlike the Original PD or Shattered PD, there is no "basic", "unblessed" Ankh in the current version of Sprouted, that revives the hero after death, at the cost of him/her losing all non-equipped items in the backpack. In current Sprouted PD all Ankhs are obtained already blessed/imbued (this is not stated explicitly in their name, but only in their game description) and will restore the hero to full health upon use and allow him/her to retain all items he/she currently has, including the rest of the Ankhs if available, just with the specific Ankh getting spent.
Ankhs can sometimes be sold in shops, and are always found in Pit Room skeletal remains. Ankhs are stored on the Chain, once the hero obtains it. Numerous Ankhs can be found on the Book of the Living depth, accessible after beating Yog-Dzewa. As mentioned before, Ankhs don't stack and the Chain most probably will not have space for all the Ankhs found on that depth, if the hero visits the Book of the Living depth without leaving some of the rings and Ankhs that he/she had already collected behind in the regular dugeon, as the Ankhs found on this depth can almost fill the Chain by themselves.
If thrown into a Well of Transmutation or Phase Pitcher plant, an Ankh will turn into a Potion of Life (But why do that? Don't do that).
Note: In other non-wiki webpages about Sprouted PD, there might be a mention of imbuing an Ankh, for it to retain the non-equipped items in the hero's backpack. This was accurate in previous versions of Sprouted PD, but it is not in the current version, in which all Anks are found already imbued.
Dark Gold Ore Edit

|This metal is called dark, not because of its color (it doesn't differ from normal gold), but because it melts under daylight, making it useless on the surface.|
Dark Gold Ore is found in the walls of depths 11 - 15, and can be mined with the Pickaxe obtained from the Troll Blacksmith. It has numerous uses:
- One of the Troll Blacksmith's quests requires the hero to mine 15 pieces. The hero will get to keep these after turning in the quest.
- The more Dark Gold Ore the Mage has when Disenchanting his Wand of Magic Missile, the better his chances of transferring all upgrades to the other wand are. 100 pieces should guarantee full transfer (up to +15), but he can get by with less. Disenchanting does not consume the ore, so the Mage can use it again for other purposes.
- The more Dark Gold Ore the Warrior has when Reforging his Short Sword, the better his chances of transferring all upgrades to the other weapon. 100 pieces should guarantee full transfer (up to +15), but he can get by with less. Reforging the Short Sword does not consume the ore, so he can use it again for other purposes.
- Having the Blacksmith's brother Bip reinforce an item with Adamantite costs 50 pieces of Dark Gold Ore, which are consumed. As there are 5 pieces of Adamantite in the game, using all 5 items would cost the hero 250 pieces of Dark Gold Ore in all.
- The more Dark Gold Ore the hero has when using his/her Blacksmith reforge, the better his/her chances of transferring all upgrades to the other item. 100 pieces should guarantee full transfer of an item upgraded up to the early-game level cap (+15). However if the item is highly upgraded (for example a Tier-5 weapon or a Spork upgraded to +50 for beating Shadow Yog, that the player wants to tranfer its upgrades to the Tier-6 weapon the hero has crafted), all the Dark Gold available in the Mines might not be enough for a full transfer. This process consumes all the Dark Gold Ore the hero has in the inventory, no matter how much it is. As Dark Gold Ore is also useful in reinforcing items, using the Blacksmith reforge without any Dark Gold Ore at all and being content with the random amount of upgrades being transferred, might be a more reasonable decision, as it will save more Dark Gold Ore for other uses.
If the hero gets unlucky with depth generation, there might not even be enough Dark Gold Ore for 5 reinforcements, even without using any Dark Gold Ore for reforging, and in this case the player will have to choose. Players should have the hero start reinforcing with the most important item for his/her class (for example Mages with the wand), to avoid the run getting ruined by unfavorable RNG and the mismanagement of the available Dark Gold Ore.
Dwarf Demon Hammer Edit

One of these spawns somewhere on depth 22, and another on depth 23. The hero needs them to unseal the staircase that leads to the next depth. He/she must stand anywhere in the room with the pedestal (except on the pedestal) and use the Hammer.
There is no Dwarf Demon Hammer on depth 24. To get to depth 25, the hero will have to fight the demonic Animated Statue that guards this depth's pedestal. In addition to an enchanted and upgraded melee weapon, the Statue will drop the End Boss portal key that will teleport the hero to Yog-Dzewa's depth.
|This large honeypot is only really lined with honey, instead it houses a giant bee! These sorts of massive bees usually stay in their hives, perhaps the pot is some sort of specialized trapper's cage? The bee seems pretty content inside the pot with its honey, and buzzes at you warily when you look at it.|
The Honeypot in Sprouted is very similar to that of Orginal PD as far as the generation of it in the gardens of the regular dungeon is concerned, but there are many differences. The behavior of the released Golden Bee is generally hostile against all characters and will attack the one who is most close to the tile it spawns, so it is an "ally" to the hero only if the Honeypot is shattered when enemies are present and it is thrown at a safe distance away from the hero. If the hero does not throw it, but shatters it by choosing this option while the honeypot is in the inventory, the Golden Bee will always attack the hero, even when enemies are present on an adjacent tile. In contarast, when Thieves/Bandits steal a honeypot from the hero, it gets immediately shattered and the Golden Bee attacks the Thief/Bandit.

Honeypots are also generated very often on the Book of the Living depth, which has many gardens that also often contain more than one honeypots (heroes who had gathered all loot from that depth will leave it with 30-40 extra honeypots). Its major difference from the Original is in the valuable items it produces when it gets transmuted though:
Steel Honeypot Edit
When an intact Honeypot is transmuted, it becomes a Steel Honeypot, that is ready to release a Steel Bee pet (follow the link for details about the Steel Bee) after it gets shattered, and will also drop a Potion of Strength. Shattered Steel Honeypots do not leave any other residue than the potion.

When a shattered Honeypot is transmuted, it becomes Honey, a very useful consumable that adds permanently a random amount of HP (between 5 and 20) to the hero's max HP. You can read more details about Honey in the paragraph that follows just after.

Although it looks like a potion, Honey is stored in the main inventory - backpack and cannot be found as loot or brewed via alchemy. The only way to obtain it is to throw a broken Honeypot into a Well of Transmutation or a Phase Pitcher plant (intact Honeypots gets transmuted to Steel Honeypots though). When consumed, it increases the hero's maximum HP by a random amount, between 5 and 20 points.
Mr. Destructo and Mr. Destructo 2.0 Edit
|It reads, MR. DESTRUCTO. An odd contraption. What does it do?|
Mr. Destructo replaces Lloyd's Beacon from Original PD as an occasional drop from The Goo on depth 5 (Goo has a 50% chance to drop this, and a 50% chance to drop a Bloodlust Chainsaw Hand). It is essentially a turret, as when it gets activated and thrown, it shoots disintegration rays in any direction that mobs are located. While it will not target the hero or the pet, it may hit him/her/it as the disintegration rays pierce enemies or if a mob gets behind the hero/pet. It loses energy with every shot, and also when attacked. When out of energy, it deactivates and can be picked up. If the hero activates and throws it by accident, he/she can only pick it up back by attacking it and deactivating it. It can be recharged by being thrown into a Well of Transmutation, or into a Phase Pitcher plant. The hero can often obtain one or two grey Mr. Destructos in the Tengu's Hideout, if he/she opens the Rat King's chests, and also in the Dolyahaven surface, again if he/she opens the available chests, and he/she will also obtain one from the Tinkerer on depth 12. Along with Mr. Destructo 2.0 these items are not found as loot anywhere else and are never found cursed.
If the hero has already a Mr. Destructo in his/her inventory when he/she completes the Tinkerer's quest on depth 12, the Tinkerer will recharge it for him/her if it's deactivated, and will also give a bonus Mr. Destructo 2.0, a more powerful version of the same device. If the hero hasn't one already, the Tinkerer will just give a gre Mr. Destructo. A Mr. Destructo 2.0 is never found in the dungeon as loot, but can be obtained by transmuting a grey Mr. Destructo with full charges. As mentioned before, a grey Mr. Destructo without any charges will just get recharged and not transmuted.

A grey Mr. Destructo when active has 100 HP, Evasion 3, Accuracy 20 + Number of depth, Attack Delay 0.5, and Damage: min Number of depth - max Number of depth +12 (so it will be 1-13 on depth 1, 10-22 on depth 10 etc.). A Mr. Destructo 2.0 when active has 200 HP, Evasion 35, Accuracy 30 + Number of depth, Attack Delay 0.5, and Damage: min Number of depth +20 - max Number of depth +32 (so it will be 21-33 on depth 1, 30-42 on depth 10 etc.). Both Mr. Destructos are stored in the Scroll Holder, once the hero obtains it.
Orb of Zot Edit

|The Orb of Zot is a source of unlimited power, created by the wizard Zot. Apparently, Yog was harnessing its power to infest the dungeon.|
The Orb of Zot is dropped by the last Shadow Yog. If the player doesn't see it, the hero should search around the depth's floor, as sometimes the Shadow Yogs teleport right before they die. Its basic purpose is to drop the Dolyahaven Journal page after it gets broken, and give the hero access to the end-game depths.
Nevertheless, before it gets broken, it can be used as a "Mr. Destructo 3.0", as it can have the identically same function, with it just being even stronger. Unfortunately the even stronger enemies that it would be very useful against, at this point of the game are all located in the Dolyahaven Mines, which are accesible only after the Orb gets broken. When activated and thrown it has 500 HP, Evasion 35, Accuracy 70 + Number of depth, Attack Delay 0.25, and Damage 100-300 regardless of depth. It is also stored in the Scroll Holder along with the Mr. Destructos.

The Pickaxe is obtained from the Troll Blacksmith Bop for the purpose of fulfilling his quest. It can be equipped as a poor melee weapon (with the exception of the Dwarf King Tombstone, against which is the most powerful weapon), or used from the Backpack to mine Dark Gold Ore. The hero can put the Pickaxe into a quickslot to facilitate the mining process.
As in the Original PD and most other mods, the Blacksmith's quest will either be the hero to kill a vampire bat with the Pickaxe equipped as melee weapon, or use it to mine 15 pieces of Dark Gold Ore. It is not necessary for the hero to complete the quest immediately - indeed, it can be risky to attempt it, as the Caves are quite dangerous when he/she first arrives, and the Pickaxe will be a very weak weapon against the vampire bats at that point.
In Sprouted PD, the hero retains the Pickaxe even after turning in the quest, because he/she will most probably need it for other purposes. In addition to mining more Dark Gold Ore to give them to the Troll Blacksmiths in exchange for reforging or reinforcing items, it is the best equippable weapon for destroying the Tomb on the Dwarf King's depth.
Toadstool Mushroom Edit

Not to be confused with edible Mushrooms, the Toadstool Mushroom is a quest object that cannot be consumed or used in any other way. The hero will find one of each on depths 1, 11, and 32 (Book of the Living), will give them to the Tinkerers on depths 2, 12 and 32 and will earn a different reward (extra abilities in the Dew Vial or Mr. Destructos).
