Overview[]

Rat King Pixel Dungeon 2 (aka RKPD2) is a fork of Shattered Pixel Dungeon 0.9.2b made by the wiki & discord moderator Zrp200. Released on March 31st, 2021, this fork aimed at remastering the April Fools mod Rat King Dungeon but basing on Shattered Pixel Dungeon rather than in the original game.

Additions[]

  • New Class: Rat King
    • Unlocked by beating the game with any other class.
    • Has the abilities and talents of every Shattered Pixel Dungeon hero class without exception.
      • This is achieved by having each talent grant four Shattered Pixel dungeon talents, one from each hero.
    • Starts with the Cloak of Shadows, Mage's Staff, Broken Seal, and Spirit Bow.
    • Has only one subclass, but gains the subclass abilities and talents of every Shattered PD subclass and hero, condensed into 8 different talents.
      • Special Actions have their logic adjusted to compensate for this:
        • They can be toggled either through their buff description or by long pressing the action indicator button.
        • Using a special action attempts to load a new one in the order Preparation, Sniper's Mark, Combo, Freerun.
      • Each of the 8 talents has four talents from Shattered Pixel Dungeon, 3 relating to a subclass, and one relating to the corresponding base hero class.
    • Epic Armor: Rat King's Crown (Rat King's Wrath)
    • Unlocked by winning the game with any class.
  • New wand: Wand of Firebolt
    • Depicted as a 'blazing' wand of fireblast.
    • Has different stats than vanilla's firebolt:
      • Does 0-9 damage at +0, instead of 1-8.
      • Scaling is adjusted to be +1/+6 instead of exponential. This makes it significantly more powerful at low levels in comparison to vanilla's, but takes away its extremely high damage when dumped. +1/+6 scaling is higher than any other wand.
    • Battlemage effect: Pre-v0.7.2 Blazing
      • 1+level3+level proc chance
      • On proc, deals 1-level+2 damage as if it came from the wand of firebolt itself, and has a 50% chance to ignite the target.
  • New Enchantment: Explosive
    • Unique to the Spirit Bow
    • 3+level30+level proc, can proc on missed attacks.
    • Explodes at point of impact.
