Use
When thrown, this seed will grow an Earthroot plant. When stepped on, the plant will apply the Herbal armor buff.
As long as the Hero remains on the tile where the Seed of Earthroot was planted, the Hero will become immune to physical damage. Moving from the spot and moving back does not reactivate the Herbal armor buff. If the Hero steps off the tile, the plant will disappear and another seed will need to be used to reactivate the Herbal armor buff.
Bosses can still hit through the Herbal armor, however, damage from bosses are reduced drastically.
The Herbal armor buff's duration/damage absorption varies.
Alchemy
When doing Alchemy, the potion brewed from this seed is the Potion of Paralytic Gas.
Obtaining
The Seed of Earthroot can be found by trampling tall vegetation.
Each patch of vegetation trampled gives a 1/15 probability of giving a random seed.
Tips
- Seeds of Earthroot are optimally used against: Dwarf monks, Golems, Animated statues, Giant piranhas, Goo, DM-300, King of Dwarves, and Yog-Dzewa.
