Description

Sewer Crab gif
Sewer crab
These huge crabs are at the top of the food chain in the sewers. They are extremely fast and their thick exoskeleton can withstand heavy blows.

Behavior

Crabs can move twice, or move one space and attack in the same turn, so you can't escape them.
They are also stronger & tougher.
And they are significantly better at parrying your attacks, than other enemies in the Sewers.

Special notes

Crabs are, in all ways, more dangerous than the other enemies in the Sewer stage.

Tips

  • When you see one, plan your movement by counting two squares for it, for each step you want to take; and pick the best spot to fight it.
  • If you are one space away, back up, so it has to move two spaces; and it can't attack that same turn.
  • They are hard to use surprise attacks on.
For example, if a crab is next to a door that you are hiding behind, it will move one space into the door, and then attack you; and you will not get a surprise attack.
If the crab uses two moves and ends its turn by opening the door, you will get a surprise attack.
  • If you have found a heavy armor, put it on when you see a crab approaching.
If the armor requires Strength that is much higher than yours, it will take more than one turn to put it on; and the crab may be able to rapidly close and attack multiple times.
