Additions
- Talent system added, now allowing the player to customize the Hero.
- Currently, only tier 1 talents are available, spanning level 1 to 6.
- New challenge, called Hostile Champions, added that amps up enemies in the dungeon.
Changes
- Each regular enemy now has a chance to spawn as one of six champion types.
- Badge visuals overhauled, with different colors based on difficulty.
- Badges screen now shows which badges the player is missing.
- Early game tweaks to heroes to adjust for the new talent system.
- Tweaks to existing challenges to reduce the number of items they remove.
- Corrected an unintended Wand of Transfusion buff from 0.8.2.

- New Tier-2 Talents added, stretching from level 7 to 12.
- A new common room to every chapter.
- Figure 8 level layout.
- 3 new level feelings added; larger floor, more traps, and more hidden secrets.
Changes:
- Rooms now merge a lot more frequently.
- Standard room changes
- Pillar rooms have been moved to the prison from the Dwarven City, and now always spawn with four pillars if they are large or giant.
- Statue rooms have been moved to the dwarven city from the Prison, and now sometimes spawn statues in their center.
- Hallway rooms have been tweaked to spawn a statue in the center of their path.
- Circular skull rooms now always spawn as large or giant.
- Various buffs to the Battlemage subclass
- Wand of Transfusion buffed and adjusted
- Ring of Energy artifact charging up to 15% from 10%
- Cave Spinner melee damage down to 10-20 from 10-25

Additions
- New Tier-3 talents have been added, stretching from levels 13-20
- The Gladiator has been reworked to make combo more accessible
- The Freerunner class has been reworked, with freerunning now needing to be activated rather than being a passive ability
Changes
- Various subclasses have received changes due to T3 talents
- Enemies in the prison and caves have been mildly buffed to offset talents
- Enemies in the city and halls have been moderately buffed to offset talents
- The hostile champions challenge is now more consistent and a bit harder
- The two on-upgrade talents have been buffed
- Turns of invisibility per charge on the Cloak of Shadows has been reduced to 4 from 5
- The Chalice of Blood artifact recharging effect is now based on its level
- Turns of barkskin from Nature's Aid reduced to 3|5 from 4|6

- Armor abilities
- The player can now choose from 3 armor abilities after defeating the Dwarf King
- Added 9 new armor abilities, reworked the existing ones

- Badder Bosses
- A new challenge which increases the difficulty of the game's bosses
- Goo and Tengu get slight stat buffs and give less leeway to evade abilities
- Dwarf King and Yog-Dzewa will have more powerful and more frequent abilities and summons
- Yog-Dzewa will spawn two fists at the same time
Changes:
- The Velvet Pouch is now the default starting bag for all heroes
- The Dew Vial is replaced by the Waterskin
- The Tome of Mastery and Armor Kit are replaced by Tengu's Mask and the Dwarf King's Crown, respectfully
- Levelgen tweaks, to make the game overall a little shorter
- Demon Halls enemies are more frequent
- Mild buffs to Burning and Rotting Fists
- Various buffs to 11 different talents
