  • Ok since the New Update on my Android Phone...I have noticed More Potions and scrolls have been showing up...Now I like to save my potions for later on to level 10 so I can take care of the 2nd boss but I keep running out of room because I have so many Scrolls and Potions. So Please if there is a Way Make the Scroll Holder Come Early in the Game and also create a Holder for the Potions it will help in the Long Run.

    • ...my point is that my good friend quit the project and destroyed the coding, so the project has been put on hold indefinitely until someone with a bit of Java experience will step up and help out. It's already an ambitious mod, and I feel the Potion Bag will be one of the first items added due to how simple the concept is. Since the mod is massive I will probably portion it into various updates adding things such as new items that are purely of utility, such as the Potion bag, enhanced Beacon, more Quickslots, etc. I'm afraid this mod will never come to exist unless someone with Java experience will help out.

Well, I was planning on adding a potion bag to my mod, so if I ever go through with it, feel free to rip it straight out of my mod's code. That said, I honestly can't believe that vanilla PD doesn't have a potion bag. I usually find myself having WAY more potions than wands. (On average I have about 5 potions and at most I'll find three wands, and that's with doing the wandmaker quest. Maybe it's cause I play as Warrior, I dunno...)

    • GravityGames. i agree whole heartedly on the potion bag/belt. and good luck making it. but shockingly enough i've played a warrior many times and ended up with plenty of wands (4-6 at least each run). the wand maker quest helps out when you are wanting to earn the all wands identified badge. which reading the posts on that, it's one hard badge to get.

    • Sorry for the late post, I've had several technical difficulties with posting here recently, the code for a potion bag was added to my GitHub mod a few days ago, feel free to use it if you want: https://github.com/GravityGames/pixel-dungeon-gravity-games-mod

It doesn't currently spawn or have graphics, but I'll leave that to you, as I'm sure you know where you want to use it better than I do.

You're talking about Shattered Pixel Dungeon. It is a mod, not vanilla.

It is also in Sprouted Pixel Dungeon.

Oh, good to know. It was taken straight from the Shattered, though, if I am not mistaken.

Yep, that's correct. Sprouted Pixel Dungeon is a fork of Shattered Pixel Dungeon.

While amount of changes in this mod is quite huge (and, probably, well done), I prefer to ignore this mmorpgfication of mod. True, vanilla PD isn't really a challenger for a title of "the most serious game ever" and is quite silly at times (rat king, angry bees, meat which can set you on fire, etc.), but SproutedPD just overdoes it with all these things like Mr.Destructo, web-spitting Goolings, upgrade transferring plants, conveniently colored wraiths, etc. Also, not a fan of the big numbers for the sake of big numbers.

Looks like that it is just not my type of the game.

Well, not all games are realistic-like. Most games defy many laws like the law of motion and the law of physics. I suppose you like to play a more realistic type of game.

Yeah, you're right. For me, usually, there must be a certain degree of realism and logic to keep my immersion into a game. It is especially nice if game manages to be fun while staying consistent. Vanilla PD managed to do that, more or less. Sprouted... not so much.

I am aware that author of any game is allowed to roll however he/she pleases, though. It is just my personal preferences.
