I want to modify my inventory; I want to add 9,999 Potions of Healing et c. et c. et c.
I found my save files (finally! I thought they were stored in the executable .jar), but lo! They are encypted! How can I access them? Please help me!

this fiddle works in all browsers: http://jsfiddle.net/m39nht5o/embedded/result/
Verified; updating the wiki page now.
Eh, it's not letting me save my edits. Oi! Editors!
Because updating/editing a link is not allowed by everyone as it seems (it is flagged as spam by an extension). I tried to edit the link but could not save the changes as I do not have enough rights.
I've updated the save files page. Sorry that the wiki doesn't let you post external links :( Hopefully that's just protection on new users
Different new person here. Just trying to see if maybe I understand what's going on here.
Found the save files in the Saved Games folder. Open in notepad, all encrypted. Copy text, past into left side of fiddle, click button, decrypted. Fairly straightforward to this point.
From here, I'm guessing I can edit what values I choose within the fiddle, click the button again to re-crypt it. Copy new gibberish and past back into the original file, save. And when I start up the game again, changes should take effect? Probably copy the original out somewhere to be safe in case you balls it up somewhere? [which also achieves the effect of storing a save in case of death, I presume] Am I getting the gist of it? That's a lot of stuff to sift through to pick out the things I might want to change for a character. But, that's half the challenge of removing the challenge.
I suppose the best way to learn is trial by error. Change things and see if it does what I want. I'm not the least be fluent in json or java, so I'm not sure how well I'd do at straight adding things. But maybe just tweaking what I do have will be a good start.
Use Notepad's Edit tab, search string "inventory", edit inventory. The values for character level, strength, and health are just before inventory. The save files page will tell you exactly what to do.
Aye, started getting the hang of it after a bit. Helped to resize the box/window so that most stuff is on one line, reads a little easier. Kinda fun finding out what changes I can effect, and figuring out what I did wrong when things break.

I found the saved files, but cannot find where I edit stuff. May not have the right files, come to think of it.
The correct save files are, in Windows 7, in C:\Users\Admin\Saved Games\[class].dat, with a seperate file for floor information that is named [class][floor].dat. Open the [class].dat in WordPad or somesuch, copy the text into the linked fiddle, decrypt it, edit it to your likeing, and paste it back into the [class].dat file. Let me know how it works out.
