Hello again. Been playing a lot of Sprouted last 6 months. I now win virtually any character I get past Goo. The rest of the games is about farming and finding variuos needful pieces. Most needed is Shoes! I too have won several times without them, but that begins to test even my vaunted patience. So yesterday I started a Warlock. Found the Spellbook early, the found a phase pitcher while farming on lvl 3. Naturally, I immeadiately tried the spellbook in the Phase. And it BOUNCED Off. I was NOT cursed and I had been using it, so why did it not work? I went on and the rest of the game I did not find a single artifact, even though I spent hours in basement and in Book of Heaven looking for them. It was acting as I would expect if I had already gotten every artifact.
Well, after that game, all went back to normal, so I am left with the mystery. Hmmmmmm.
Two suggestions I am tempted to give the designer. Please increase the chances of player not possessing Shoe to get dew. I know it is supposed to be tough, but winning without the Shoes becomes so tedious EVEN I get frustrated. I dont know what the actual % chance each step in grass has, but I would think 50% {and remember, they only produce normal dew] would be a great improvement; still work, but not 'backbreaking'.
My other suggestion is indistinct. Somehow, all the Top Score lists are based mostly on money. Absurdly, my highest ranking on my kindle was from a game where I just killed origonal Zog, and spent some time in Book of Heaven getting and sell eq. Then found thief's Armband in Basement and sat with chest being pickpockets and picking up money for a long while. Finally got bored at about 125,000,000 gold. So I Ended game and Viola! New high, after all those games I finished completely. I know gold is the standard in all PD games ...... but how about an imaginative change that makes is include other factors?
All this said, I am NOT getting bored with Sprouted overall, which I did with Origonal and Shattered. Much more to do, and still exciting enough to get the interum things, so I will likely play this as passtime for a long while. Thanks for your creation.
